Innovator in Residence
Through this program we host digital experts with varied backgrounds to lead hands-on programs. The Innovator in Residence helps beginner and intermediate learners build knowledge and confidence through exposure to new and innovative technology at our Digital Innovation Hubs.

We’re currently recruiting our next Innovator in Residence, with a focus on digital media or digital design and storytelling. Programs will run from October 7 to November 30, 2024 in person at Toronto Reference Library and online.
Apply to be our next Innovator in Residence
Do you have education and professional experience in the field of digital media or digital design and storytelling, including, but not limited to, graphic design, video game design, and audio, video and animation production? If so, you could be our next Innovator in Residence (IIR).
This paid, eight-week residency runs from October 7 to November 30, 2024 in person at Toronto Reference Library and online.
As part of their residency, the IIR is responsible for:
- Delivering programs, workshops, and one-on-one consultations using emerging digital storytelling technology.
- Collaborating with the local community to create a small-scale digital storytelling artifact that embraces and reflects its diversity.
