Summary/Review: Youth (Spring) is a documentary driven by the thrum of industrial sewing machines--just like the lives of the young Chinese garment workers it portrays. Zhili is one of the centers of the textile industry and people around rural areas flock there for work. They toil away tirelessly, live in squalid conditions, face prejudice from their families, and have to fight for better pay.
