Entrepreneur in Residence
Toronto Public Library's Entrepreneur in Residence creates and supports the library's Small Business programs with seminars, workshops and consultations. During their eight-week residency, the Entrepreneur in Residence also reviews submitted business ideas and meets one-on-one with selected applicants for free, to critique and evaluate their business ideas and plans. This residency is part of the library's Small Business Month.

Joëlle Jacqueline is the founder of Couler Consulting, a business development solutions company with a mission to build better businesses. Specializing in the people and process development, Joëlle helps aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs holistically navigate the entrepreneurial journey; both professionally and personally. Ultimately, helping entrepreneurs realize and scale their business ideas.
Joëlle’s personal mission is to create ‘ah ha’ moments by challenging individuals to think differently and deeper. As a mentor with Futurpreneur Canada and StartUp Here Toronto, Joëlle is an advocate for creating opportunity and sharing knowledge and resources. Applicants must have extensive experience in the areas of running a successful business, coaching and advising new and aspiring small business owners. The role of the Entrepreneur in Residence is to create and deliver programs along with support materials, related to small-business creation and development. The Entrepreneur in Residence meets with library customers one-on-one to critique and answer questions about small-business creation and development. The program aims to support entrepreneurs who are members of Indigenous and equity-deserving groups.
